Political directorate

The Ministry is headed by the Federal Minister of Justice, Dr Volker Wissing. As a member of the cabinet (along with the Federal Chancellor and the other government ministers), he is involved in the Federal Government's decision-making process and bears political responsibility for the Federal Ministry of Justice’s remit. The Minister is supported by State Secretary Dr Angelika Schlunck.
